Club History:
Founded in March 2017, Cappagh LGFA is proud to be one of the youngest GAA clubs in Limerick. Based in the quiet community of Cappagh, the club is happy to promote ladies gaelic football throughout the locality. The club is currently represented by 2 teams at U14 & U16 level, with team members from Ballysteen, Cappagh, Rathkeale, Cool Cappagh, Croagh & Askeaton all representing the club.
At the heart of the club is a strong ethos of involvement, participation & fun, promoting sport for all the girls while providing a safe, inclusive environment for them to learn and enjoy the game.
Since its foundation, Cappagh LGFA have successfully partnered with Cappagh GAA, who have kindly provided the use of their facilities with a real one club mentality. Largely thanks to the fantastic support of the local communities, the grounds at Cappagh have undergone significant development in the last year, providing a focal point for community activity and cementing its place at the centre of the community for years to come.
In its short history Cappagh LGFA has enjoyed much success, winning multiple novice county titles as well as having representation at county level. The club has a bright future ahead, with ambitious plans for the coming years including the continued growth and expansion of the club, fielding teams at all age groups within the girls game and continuing to promote sport and healthy activity for all.
