Club History:

The Club was established over 25 years ago. We have about 160 members in total from players to coaches to members. We have won 2 Feile titles. In 2019 we had our first G4MO team. The club’s ethos is that every playing membergets game time, and enjoys their game time while doing their best.

The Old Mill Ladies Football Club was founded in 1991 by Paddy Barry and Paddy D. O’Connor. The first committee was formed in 1992 with Moss Hurley as Chairman, Betty Dillane as Secretary, Ann Barry as Treasurer and Paddy Barry PRO.

The club’s ethos is that every playing member gets game time, and enjoys their game time while doing their best. Our coaches will develop and support girls to helping them to reach their full potential.

The Old Mill Sports Club was founded to cater for girls in the catchment area. It has been an outstanding success story to date.

Down through the years many of our players have worn the Green & White of Limerick at all age groups. Jessie Quaid and current Senior player Alva Quaid were All Ireland Junior Champions in 2010. Róisin Ambrose played on the 2018 team which won the All-Ireland Junior Final and current senior players Sophie Hennessy, Róisin Ambrose, Iris Kennelly & Cathy Ambrose were part of the Limerick Junior team in 2021.

The club has won county titles at all age levels and National Féile titles in 1998 and 2014. We won our first Junior title in 2013 and we claimed the junior title again in 2018 and an Intermediate title in 2019. We currently have 174 members and cater for girls from U6 to senior adult Level.

Finally, we would like to thank all our members, our coaches & mentors, our supporters, our players, our parents and our sponsors, without their support we could not cater for all of the girls who want to play and enjoy gaelic football.
